Nick Crawford

Nick is a Financial Adviser. His FSP registration number is FSP306686.

Nick is a successful, experienced and highly motivated personal wealth adviser who moved to New Zealand from the UK in 2013. He started his career with leading advice firm Chase de Vere in Bath in 2000. Whilst in the UK, Nick was an independent wealth adviser with a particular focus on wealth management for lottery winners and recipients of large personal injury compensation awards. Before joining The Private Office, he was one of the top private wealth advisers at ASB, advising their high net worth individuals.

Nick’s wife is a New Zealander. They live on Waiheke and they have two young children who are fifth generation residents on the island.


John Atkinson

John joined The Private Office in April 2022 as TPO shared the same values and principals that led him to enter the financial services sector.

Originally from Dublin Ireland John was CEO of IOOF New Zealand Limited (previously named Plan B Wealth Management Limited). John has previously held senior roles in the FMCG and Telecommunications sectors in Europe, the Caribbean and Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Dublin City University and a Master of Business Studies Corporate Strategy from University College Dublin. John has also completed the Institute of Directors Course both in Australia and New Zealand.

Outside of work he enjoys both walking with a club in his hand or a windsurfer on his back


Laetitia Peterson

Laetitia, who is originally from Belgium, was previously the Honorary Consul of Belgium in Auckland and founder of the successful funds management firm Liontamer.

Laetitia is the Founder of The Private Office. She is passionate about helping successful lawyers and immigrants who have been successful in their home countries make smart decisions about their money, creating a secure financial future for themselves and the people they love. 

She is married to a New Zealand lawyer and they have two children.


Dan Weale

Dan is a Financial Adviser. His FSP registration number is 546267.

Prior to emigrating to NZ in 2016, Dan spent the previous 12 years working in London in the Investment Management industry. Throughout his career across Europe and New Zealand Dan has focused on providing comprehensive Financial and Investment Advice to a broad range of high-net worth clients, Trusts, and Charities. Dan studied Financial Economics at University, later obtaining The Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments - Masters in Wealth Management.

Originally from a small village in West Sussex, Dan now lives in Kumeu, with his Kiwi wife, Jess.  They like to spend their time enjoying the beaches of the West coast, as well as occasionally sampling the local vineyards.


Angela Chu

Angela is a Financial Adviser. Her FSP registration number is 487787. 

Angela has spent nine years in the Finance and Banking industry of which she has spent eight years focusing on providing Investment Advice to high-net-worth clients and Trusts. Angela studied Mathematics at University at the age of 15 and has a passion for crunching numbers and looking at data. 

Angela was born and raised in New Zealand, and she often travels to Christchurch where she is originally from to visit friends and family.


Claudia Williams

Claudia is a Financial Adviser. Her FSP registration number is 1006690.

Claudia has extensive experience across the finance sector in New Zealand and Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Business degree majoring in Accounting and Finance from Massey University. 

While pursuing her education,  Claudia also competed on the international world tennis circuit where she was ranked the number two female tennis player in New Zealand.

Outside of her professional life, Claudia enjoys keeping active on the tennis court and golf course as well as spending time with friends and family.


Cindy Ip

Cindy is the Operations and Compliance Manager at The Private Office and is passionate about providing excellent service to our clients.

Cindy joined The Private Office after 10 years with Link Market Services in Auckland where she was a senior registrar responsible for maintaining the share registers for Exchange Traded Funds. She also worked in financial services administration roles in Hong Kong, for firms such as Merrill Lynch and Black Rock. Cindy was born and raised in New Zealand. She completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Psychology, at Auckland University.

Cindy is married and they have a delightful young son.


Sharmin Charania

Sharmin is originally from India and has been residing in New Zealand for the past 15 years. With two young children, Sharmin balances her personal and professional life with grace and determination.

Sharmin has a diverse background in the financial services industry across various sectors, including share registry, investment banking and insurance.

Sharmin values meaningful connections and cherishes spending quality time with family and friends.

The Private Office FSP662811 is a Financial Advice Provider (FAP) licensed and regulated by the Financial Markets Authority to provide financial advice.

Investment Committee 

The Private Office has an investment committee comprised of four investment experts from Consilium.

Consilium were a 2017 finalist in the AUT Business School Excellence in Business Support Awards and their investment processes have been independently certified by the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence (CEFEX) as achieving global best practice standards.
